Terms of Use
Clear information about TopWebP, how the site works and how we handle privacy, content and communication.
Last updated: September 15, 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of TopWebP, including its tools, pages, articles, conversion interfaces and other features. By using the site, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree with any provision, discontinue use of the service.
1. Purpose of the service
TopWebP provides free tools for image- and document-related tasks as well as informational content about formats, compression, resolution, conversion, performance and related topics. The service is provided for general use and may be used for personal or professional purposes, provided that users comply with applicable law and third-party rights.
2. Browser-side processing
Many TopWebP tools perform processing directly in the user’s browser. In those cases, selected files do not need to be uploaded to a TopWebP server. Performance depends on the computer or phone, browser, available memory, file size and number of items processed at the same time.
Very large files or extensive batches may consume significant memory, slow down the browser or cause a tab to close on low-resource devices. Batch limits may be used to improve stability and do not guarantee that every device can process the maximum permitted number of files.
3. Responsibility for files
You are responsible for the files you select, process and download. By using TopWebP, you represent that you are authorized to work with such content or that your use is permitted by applicable law. Do not use the tools to violate copyright, privacy, trademarks, contracts, court orders or any other legal obligation.
4. Results and verification
Conversion and editing tools may change file size, quality, metadata, transparency, aspect ratio, colors, resolution or compatibility. Always review the final output before deleting the original, publishing, printing, sending it to a third party or relying on it for an important purpose.
TopWebP does not recommend deleting the only copy of a file after conversion. Keep backups when content matters. We cannot guarantee that every file, including corrupted, protected, non-standard or unusually generated files, can be processed correctly.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the website in a way that harms availability, attempts to bypass security controls, exploits vulnerabilities, sends abusive automated requests, distributes malicious code, interferes with other users or uses the infrastructure for unlawful purposes.
You may not substantially reproduce TopWebP’s proprietary design, original text or identity in order to impersonate the service, mislead users or create a deceptive copy. Third-party libraries used by the website remain subject to their respective licenses.
6. Free access and advertising
Public tools may be offered free of charge and supported by advertising. TopWebP may add, change or remove ad placements, provided advertising is not presented deceptively. Advertising networks operate under their own rules and policies.
Free availability of a tool does not create an obligation to maintain it indefinitely. Features may be updated, replaced or discontinued for technical, security, compatibility or maintenance reasons.
7. Editorial content
Articles and explanations on the blog are for informational purposes. Although we aim for accurate and current material, browser standards, file formats, platform recommendations and technology can change. Check official requirements where a decision depends on a third-party service or software specification.
Examples involving size, compression, savings or quality can vary depending on the original image, selected settings, codec, browser and other factors. A result shown in an article is not a guarantee that every file will achieve the same reduction.
8. Intellectual property
The site identity, organization, original written content, TopWebP brand and elements produced specifically for the project are protected under applicable law. This does not alter rights in open-source libraries, licensed images, third-party trademarks or content subject to separate licenses.
Files processed by users remain the property of their respective rights holders. Using a tool does not transfer ownership of a file to TopWebP.
9. Third-party services
The website may use hosting providers, CDNs, JavaScript libraries, Pexels, advertising networks, analytics systems and other external services. We do not fully control the availability, policies or changes of those providers. An external outage may affect a specific feature without representing failure of the entire website.
10. No absolute warranty
TopWebP is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to keep tools functional, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every file or device, complete absence of errors, perfect preservation of every technical characteristic or suitability for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TopWebP is not responsible for loss of original files, quality reduction caused by settings selected by the user, output incompatibility, device or browser failures, connection problems, third-party software failures or misuse of results. Users should keep backups of important files and review processed material.
12. External links
Articles or pages may link to third-party sources, documentation or services. A link does not mean that TopWebP controls or guarantees the external content. Once you leave TopWebP, the policies and terms of the destination site apply.
13. Access restrictions
We may restrict access to features where there are signs of abuse, attacks, harmful automation, vulnerability exploitation or activity that places the service at risk. Security measures may be applied automatically by a firewall, CDN or hosting provider.
14. Privacy
Information practices are described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. These documents should be read together with these Terms of Use.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use to reflect new features, legal changes, security adjustments or evolution of the service. The version published on this page applies from the date shown at the beginning.
16. Contact
Questions regarding these terms, rights, content or operation of the service should be submitted through the contact page.
